Today England took a tentative step towards unlocking with non essential shops, gyms, pools, outdoor hospitality and, perhaps most importantly, hairdressers reopening for the first time since November. Breaking wedding reception news - receptions can’t take place until August 15th
In a press conference today Boris Johnson has announced that wedding receptions of 30 guests can no longer take place from tomorrow as planned. He has set August 15th as a new start date. All restrictions and guidance announced will stay in place.
This will come as a devastating blow to couples who had already made huge compromises to host their celebrations this and next weekend.
As with so much around the Corona virus crisis this is a matter of two steps forward, one step back. But hold tight, stay positive - we’ll get there eventually. And when we do, boy will we celebrate big!
